I believe that when breeding any horse the mare must possess certain qualities to make that great foal. You can have the best stallion possible and without that great mare you will just never get the best, top quality foal you can. I have collected my group of mares over the 13 yrs. I have been working with the TWH breed. I have done A.I. breedings to the best stallions I could and raised some of them myself and some I have been fortunate enough to purchase from the US and Canada to get the nine mares that I now have. I feel they are all good representatives of this breed and am proud to own them and feel positive they will add their good traits to that of the stallion and some awesome foals are bound to appear. Here are my groups of girls with some comments on each of them.

That is my mare lineup for the present time. I am sure I will be adding to it when I find a horse that meets my criteria. All of my mares are so sweet and wonderful to work with - I can not see selling any of them. |
