We are a family operated farm in Alberta, Canada.  I was raised in the foothills of Alberta, grew up riding there, a horse and myself most of the time alone.  My horse was my transportation even after learning to drive a vehicle I preferred to ride to my friends places, long distances sometimes as not a lot of population in the foothills at the time.

My dad first stuck me on a horse when I was two and that was it for me.  I was on that horse and any other one I could find and pretty much have never stopped doing that, except to be more selective about what I get on as I am not a teenager anymore.

My background, being raised in the heart of cowboy country was definitely not with Walking Horses, I rode anything and everything I could.  I started training at a very young age and still do that as well.

My first walking Horse appeared on the scene when I was about 11.  A Palomino mare who was a show horse.  She was used on our four sections of land as a working cow horse, I raced her in flat races, she was used for roping etc. whatever a working cow horse was asked to do.  She did it all well and was accepted in the community as a SUPER horse.

I love all horses but the Walking Horse was always my breed of preference and when I decided to start a breeding, training farm it was not hard for me to decide which I wanted to raise.

Thus began many years of very patient and selective buying and breeding.  I did not have my own stallion until MAJOR POWER PLAY was born and I decided to keep him to SEE if he would meet my criteria.  He did.  I now also have a Gold Champagne stallion standing.

My PAYOFF for all the work required to raise, train, and mostly care for these horses the way they deserve to be cared for is all the trail riding I am able to do every year.  After many years of trying I have finally gotten my husband, Rob, on the back of a horse on the trails and in the Mountains and my daughter who is 22 also rides the trails with me and my walking horse friends.

My daughter trains horses with me and has for many years.   I stuck her on a horse at 2 and she has been riding since then.  She is now a Level 2 trainer, Certified with the National Registry of Horse Trainers and has trained and ridden most of my horses.

My plan is to ride as many years as I can and continue to enjoy the gorgeous beauty I am so fortunate to see on my rides and the super people that I am able to ride with.

Thanks for reading this and I wish good health and peaceful hearts to you all.
